THINGS TO DO

  • Coaches, check out the new additional IMPORTANT information to the SAY Soccer's Risk Management Policy in Coaches Requirement Section under Safe Sport by SAY Soccer area below.

  • ROSTERS:  Log into your registration account and volunteer to coach and create your team if need be. If you have tried a few times and are unable to do so, please email info@brooksidesoccer.org, so our registrar can create the team for you in the division(s). Starting in July 2021 we need every coach to email our registrar a roster of your team(s) in alphabetical order, so we can find and bind players prior to making them final and getting them out! Angie’s email address is Info@BrooksideSoccer.org.

PRACTICE @ SWOPE SOCCER VILLAGE

Swope is available for practice to registered players and teams in a given season only.

Should you desire practice time at Swope, we are able to accommodate 1hr per team from Mon-Thurs during the week at Swope between the hours of 5pm-8pm.

All park rules will be in effect. Those that choose not to follow the rules will be warned and, on the second warning, not be allowed back to Swope for practices for the remainder of the season.

We will be utilizing google forms to take in practice requests at Swope. Instead of emailing the club, please submit a form for each team requesting a slot at Swope. Please do so, by utilizing the Google form link; https://forms.gle/EmJcFaNSBUWJH6VE6. Slots are available on a first come/first served availability.

Teams in grades 1st through 3rd are generally allotted 1/8 regulation field space, grades 4th through 7th/8th grades are allotted 1/4 regulation field space and HS teams are allotted 1/2 field space (7 pm and later) if available. If an HS team wishes to practice earlier than 7 pm, that team may use 1/4 of a field.

Rules for practicing at Swope:

  • Please make of note of your practice time/day and field assignment before arriving at Swope.

  • Practice space is ONLY available during the youth league season. No practices are available during bye weeks.

  • You may ONLY practice in your assigned space during your assigned time. Moving into open field space is not allowed. It may cause issues for a coach who may plan arriving to that space late.

  • If your practice ends at 6:30 pm, move your players off the field at 6:30 pm.

  • Each field is separated into quadrants, and each field had a sign with either an “N” or “S” (indicating North or South). The west side of each field is the one closest to Lewis Road.

  • Small goals for younger teams are available at the southernmost area of the Field 1. Those or any goal a team uses during practice MUST be placed in their original spot along the fences at the end of your practice (unless the next team has asked for them to be left). That coach/team will then be responsible for returning goals to their proper space.

  • If, for any reason, a team does not plan to practice during their allotted time/day, you MUST notify Nick Garcia of the change at Nick@BrooksideSoccer.org.

  • Keep ALL children OFF THE GOALS/NETS and fences.

SCHEDULE CHANGES @ SWOPE SOCCER VILLAGE

Sporting Brookside will attempt to accommodate schedule requests/conflicts for valid reason and within timeframes but are not guaranteed. We highly encourage coaches to plan ahead and submit block out day requests in advance, as mid-season schedule accommodations are extremely difficult due to field availability.

To be considered, all requested schedule changes MUST be submitted by the coach, use the form below and follow club scheduling request guidelines:

  • In Advance. Block out day requests or times known in advance should be submitted 7 days prior to the close of registration. Coaches may submit up to 3 days/times per season. All attempts will be made to honor these requests.
  • Mid-Season. All mid-season game schedule change requests must be made at least 7 days prior to the original game to be considered.
  • Valid conflict / schedule change request reasons. A valid reason must be provided for a conflict / schedule change request. Rescheduling games mid-season causes issues/concerns for players, coaches, families and the league. Valid reasons would include conflicts with coach or team availability such as coach or team out of town, school scheduling conflicts, tournament conflicts, shortage of players due to ACT tests, etc.
  • Coach requesting the schedule change will complete the appropriate request form which includes coach & contact, team name, division, & reason for the request.
  • All other requests outside the above guidelines may be required to forfeit or cancel.

To Send Schedule Change Requests - Please Click on Pat's Name BELOW and answer the questions in the email body for faster action.
